I work as an actuarial executive in Prudential, since Menara Prudential is just a street away from Wisma Hong Leong,so far, I met Ming Kao Fu twice..(Kao Fu, How was the coconut chicken? that's my favorite)

It is quite fun to work there, but tiring. Exam is just around the corner. Please do pray for me...@.@

DON''T BE A VICTIM ... READ ON ...

This is a true case happened to me on 29/11/07 and I thought it may prevent you to be a victim ....

I was issued a summon 3080708160394 by MBAJ , Pandan Indah, K Lumpur for not displaying parking ticket at Jalan Pandan 2/3 on 16-Aug-07

I am sure I did not make the offence as I do not know the address nor the whereabout. Moreover, I was in the office and had a Department meeting at 10.00am (or slightly later) on 16 Aug 2007.

So, I called up MPAJ office to clarify and was told that a photo was taken which bear my car number plate.

Knowing that I am innocent, I have to proof "the car" do no belongs to me at the scene of the offence. So I did the followings:-
1) Check my parking record at B1. The time my car drove into B1 on 16Aug2007 was recorded at 7.33 am
2) Unfortunately, there is no record on my car went out. (The maintenance department has de-activated the out gate sensor).
3) I went to MPAJ and witness the photo. I saw something unique as follows:-
3.1) The photo shown was black and white and very blurr but it look like my car .... I have to make up the number plate that looks like mine.
3.2) The shape of the number plate was square in size whereas my number plate is rectangular in size.
3.3) The front screen looks blurr at the driver side but my car has a very clear track ( 10 mm ) of loosen film run scross the front right screen
3.4) The front left screen do not have any sticker which I have 5 of them

Thank god, the officer bought my story and believed that "the car" used my registration number for their own purpose.

The lesson learnt was that you have to proof you are innocent and was not at the scene, otherwise, you may just pay the summon and forget it.

However, what if there is a crime involved your number plate..
" Water wash also cannot get clear la .... "

Some of the preventive measures are:-
1) Take some of photo your car... indicate any significant marks e.g. some unique sticker on the windscreen etc

So, please take some preventive action today !! Forward this email to your friends !!!

cheers

Gunung Suku & Grandpa

I had a tired weekend. Last Saturday I joined a group of uncles and aunty for a hike at Gunung Suku in Cameron Highlands. Left KL at 4:30am for Ipoh and had dim sum in Foh San Restaurant before meeting up with the rest of the participants. Enter into a dry forest land from foothill which is 800m above sea level. Need to hike 1,000m by foot up to summit. The trail was very challenging. It challenged my stamina, mentality and patience. Kept walking all the way up and hardly had flat land for me to stop to rest.

It’s nice to hike here because the air was fresh and cooling. The air is getting thinner and cooler when I walked a few meters up. Stopped at the water point and tasted the fresh water from the stream. The water was so cold as though it was taken from fridge. Carry on my journey till I reach fairytale forest. Breathing in the misty cold air and rubbing my hands against the wet green mosses throughout the journey. The purpose is to clean up both dirty hands.

There are plenty of steep slopes and some exposed roots needs to be climbed over and/or passed underneath. All these climbing over and under really challenged my physical endurance which eventually leaves me with muscles ache till now. My last trip to Gunung Irau sometime in August of this year which was in Cameron Highlands too has left me with muscles ache for 4 days.

This hiking journey took me 2.5 hours to reach summit. As and when I set my foot at summit I was quite disappointed. The scenery view from Gunung Suku doesn’t attract me compared to the view from Gunung Irau and it has limited space to accommodate 20 people. Not much shelter such as big or medium trees for shade. When the sunshine I will immediately hide myself under the bushes. The weather at summit was hot and totally out of my expectation. Spent about an hour here having a cup of hot Nescafe and a piece of malaiko which I packed from Foh San Restaurant for lunch.

Hiking down took me about 2 hours to reach foothill. After completion of this hiking expedition I had myself freshen up at the icy cool water from a mini waterfall nearby Gunung Suku foothill. When everyone is ready to make a move, we headed for a nice dinner in Green Ocean Restaurant in Menglembu, Ipoh. Had poon choy and 4 other side dishes which cost us RM200nett. I think the price is consider reasonable.

On my way back to KL, I stop by Bidor to visit Grandpa. Hehe…he was watching Astro while waiting for my visit. Luckily I called him in advance during dinner so that he doesn’t sleep early. Grandpa was contented with a big smile on his face when he saw me. I felt delightful after visited Grandpa and my friends were so kind to drive me in to Taman Civil.

Cheers!!!

Lonely cum Freedom...

I just read Ming kaufu’s blog. First of all I would like to convey my congratulation to him on his retirement for a week in Bidor and at the same time welcome him back to the 9 to 6 lifestyle in KL. Aunt Nancy will have the uppermost merriment for another year....Yeah!

Lately I have been busy working and not as fortunate as my wife and children. They have left for Singapore on Monday for 2 weeks vacation with her parents and sister. They have also emailed me some of their nice photos in Zoo. I don’t understand, of all the places in Singapore…why do they choose to visit Zoo??? In KL there is one called Zoo Negara which we will never visit.

Anyway, they still look good and were having great time over there. At times when I was alone at home, I felt lonely too and have been hugging bolster every night. I can hear droplets from the washroom in the peacefulness of my apartment. Hear no yelling nor fighting over toys from Wei Shern and Li Wen. It’s gonna be extremely peaceful for another week.

Well before my wife left for Singapore, she has warned me not to touch nor cook in her kitchen . Hey... I still have to carry on with my living and 2 weeks single life. Therefore I return to mom’s place for dinner every night and…….HANGOUT with buddies and night activities….Wuahahahahaha

Lil Wei Xiang Again....

Last night after dinner, all of a sudden I had the urge to take photographs of Wei Xiang and everyone at home. Today he’s 25 days old. As you may compare the size of Wei Xiang now and from the day he was born, the shape of his face was getting chubbier and eyes were big with his crystal eyeball rolling from left to right.

I was pleased that everyone was so co-operative with me to take a few shots with lil Wei Xiang. I have also shared the Foong's Families and Relatives Blog with my mom and would like to show her kaufu’s blogged about Grandpa in Bidor together with the video clip. Unfortunately, in the interim, I do not have home internet yet cuz after my intensive consideration I would prefer to wait for streamyx special promotion which I have missed sometime early this year. Hope they will have one coming up soon. Ah Tat, if you have read my blog here, remember to update me if there is any promotion. My brother, Ah Hong was fortunate to have registered with streamyx with that special promotion before it ends. How could I pay more…..and my brother is enjoying that promotion price.

Cheerio!

How grandfather manage himself in the house.

Some of you asked me where I was and what I did during my first week of my post retirement.

I was with my fathers's house in Bidor accompany him from 13th Nov till 18th Nov 2007 since my brother and his wife went for a trip to China. Though I did not change any of my fathers habits, but I did some chore for him to cope with his daily needs.

I have to soak his clothings on a daily basis and dump them into the washing machine and took them out for drying. I have to make sure his clothing is dry in time on a daily basis as he has only 2 pair of bejamas to turn around. Look at the pictures, do I look like a house mate ?

I did some cooking too ! According to the family members, it is quick a challenge to meet my fathers taste-bud. Not to mention what to eat and what not. Look at the picture, isn't it look like professional cook ?

In case you are not aware, my father is 97 this year, he looks fairly healthy and strong. See te pictures and imaging how he manages his daily life at home. He move around a chair for him use it in the bathroom.

Below is a video taken on 18th Nov 2007 while he was on the way out from the bath room to his room after the fresh shower. Do you care to see how our old age father / grandfather manages himself in the house ?
